The Patio
The beating heart of the house. Brushed by the breeze, dressed in slat walls, always open, always cool. Morning coffee, afternoon reading, evening apéro: the patio holds the keeping of the passing hours.
Inaugural season · winter 2026
Five suites, two heated pools, a fitness pavilion with an ice bath, a spectacular view. On the heights of Colombier, a newly completed private residence opens to view.
Earth, sea and sky have carved the beauty of Saint-Barthélemy: its hills and its bays, its corals, its gardens, its colours, its sea spray. But this island-paradise also keeps in memory the courage and the dreams of those who built. That is why this house carries a story of its own.
It is a love story, that of Rose and Sully, husband and wife born on the island when it was still remote and untamed. Here, they imagined a refuge outside of time, for themselves, for their children. The place is steep, wild and singular. You may still see goats roaming freely across it. But here, on this summit, the skies murmur, the waves whisper, and the whole of nature converses with the soul. Hearts are soothed, turned toward the horizon, cradled by the infinite.
Sully, a visionary builder, knew that here, love would weave a bond between the island and his own. Together, Rose and he passed on the wish to share, to welcome, to invite. La Maison SullyRose carries the luxury of authenticity. It is a tribute, a longing, a wonderful cocoon, a bridge between yesterday and tomorrow.
The beating heart of the house. Brushed by the breeze, dressed in slat walls, always open, always cool. Morning coffee, afternoon reading, evening apéro: the patio holds the keeping of the passing hours.
Two spectacular pools, always in sun, always in view of the sea. An infinity pool flows into a lap pool below; their fresh water is heated. Loungers, tables and cushions invite stillness and serenity. The cacti that rise alongside catch the last light at sunset.
Two spaces given over to games and challenges. The shaded terrace beside the pools holds a foosball table. In the air-conditioned salon, board games and a chess table wait.
Wide glass walls let the gaze drift; the harbour of Gustavia, breathtaking from this hill, sits in plain view. Soft seating draws you in for quiet, for conversation. In this air-conditioned salon, a large screen carries cinema-quality sound. Lunch can also be served here.
An open kitchen, with a long island, opens onto the patio. Adjacent, a professional chef's kitchen is fitted with the high-end equipment a guest chef will appreciate.
Four terraces, four privileged moments. The first solarium catches the sunrise. The second, brilliant, frames the pools. The third, more intimate, holds the sunset. The fourth extends the fitness pavilion outdoors.
A pavilion fully given over to sport and well-being. A complete training session is possible here, with a private coach. A cold plunge optimises recovery. Treadmill, integrated-screen bike, Rogue rack with Olympic bars and plates, adjustable bench, dual cable trainer, kettlebells, bands and TRX, and a Manduka yoga corner.
Each suite of the villa carries a memory, announced by its name. Each is an ode to Saint-Barth and a tribute to Rose and to Sully. The rooms share soothing colours, an exceptional view, refined comfort, a sitting nook, and a private bath.
Majestic and proud, carried by the wind, she sailed for the provisions, she sailed for the people.
Ipana was the name of a sailing vessel that once took on passengers and brought provisions to the island. The suite has three glass walls, opening onto the sea, the horizon, and the tropical garden.
In the curves and the folds of the humble white cotton, the imprint of a singular past has remained.
For a long time, the women of Saint-Barthélemy wore a white pleated bonnet that shielded them from the sun, called la Calèche. This suite connects through to the Rain Lily.
The rain has stopped. The garden is starred with luminous petals.
The flower called Rain Lily is a lily that opens as the rain ends. Its bright colours dress the gardens of Saint-Barthélemy, as if to celebrate the return of the sun. This suite, with private terrace, connects through to La Calèche.
One day she came to rest, and Rose fed her. She kept returning, faithful. She and Rose would converse.
Kaki was a seagull who returned each evening to feed beside Rose. A particular bond grew between them, as though they exchanged news of earth and sky. The Kaki suite, calm and spacious, suits guests with reduced mobility.
On the hill, he keeps watch and traces a path beneath the gaze of the sky.
The Gustavia lighthouse is one of Saint-Barthélemy's emblematic monuments and remains an essential mark for sailors. Sully was entrusted with its building. The Le Phare suite opens directly onto the pool. Three glass walls alternate sea view and garden view.
